History
Psycho0 – Psycho0 is a Trichocereus bridgesii (Bolivian Torch) that was originally distributed by a SAB member of the same name. This member was able to distribute some cuttings to the community before his untimely death. Psycho0 is a sought after clone that has a very distinct, 3 yellow spine, formation. It is a gorgeous clone.
J18 – J18 is a pure Trichocereus bridgesii that was cloned by Rodni Chisar, a famous grower from Australia. Unfortunately, I am unable to find any decent snaps of the original J18 clone which is a shame because he was a gorgeous plant.
Locality
Trichocereus bridgesii are native to Bolivia (duh) and Argentina.
History
Tr. bridgesii was first introduced to the Western world by a German botanist Friedrich Ritter who studied various cactus species in South America. He then named the species after his close friend, the British consul in Bolivia, Alan Bridges.
They quickly gained popularity over the years and have become statement pieces in many homes across the world.
