This is the first release of Sun Goddess into the UK market. We realise the price is steep, but, we have imported a batch of large specimens from the States at a substantial cost to the business to get them into the UK market safely and legally (Full Phytosanitory / CITE). Currently, they are extremely rare here (Only one other customer who we sold one to has one). We will be keeping most of batch for propagation projects but there is a rare opportunity for someone to pick up some spares from this one-off import.
Details
Trichocereus Sun Goddess is a Tr. grandiflora hybrid clone of largely unknown origin, generally accepted to originate out of South America. Although quite common in the US, it is extremely rare this side of the pond. They make for fantastic ornamental plants, but their true shining attributes are as grafting stock. SG throws pups like crazy which means they are one of the easiest cacti to propogate out. In one season, we have been able to cut, propagate & root 8 offshoots.
Tr. Sun Goddess is a fast growing cactus hybrid with beautiful golden spines. They also boast massive white flowers and once flowering, will flower multiple times in a season.
They are easy to maintain, similar to San Pedros in care, maintenance and substrate composition.
Generally speaking, they will double in size every season if not used as rootstock.
